Transporting the Critically Ill Adult & Child
Transporting the Critically Ill Adult and Child
The Transporting the Critically Ill Adult and Child course is aimed at the multidisciplinary teams involved in transferring critically ill patients without a specialist team (MICAS or IPATS). This programme was developed to reflect the practices in regional hospitals when transferring both critically ill adults and children. These training programmes provide a structured approach to transporting critically ill patients, encompassing knowledge of processes; preparation; transport physiology; transport-related variances and transport specific equipment for adults and children.
